Mexico president unveils new airport in Tulum

Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Friday attended the opening of a new airport in Tulum, one of the key public works projects of his government.

The new Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport, with the capacity to handle 5.5 million passengers per year, seeks to decongest the airport of Cancun, the main resort of the Mexican Caribbean and port of arrival for thousands of international tourists.
