Observation Tour: Award-winning writers visit Maravijaya Buddha Image

Award-winning doyen writers staying in Nay Pyi Taw to attend the Ceremony of National Lifetime Awards for Literary Achievement and National Literary Awards received medical checkups at the Nay Pyi Taw's 1,000-bed General Hospital.

Specialists at the hospital checked their health conditions, focusing on diabetes, hypertension, and heart diseases, among other necessary examinations, and provided healthcare services and advice.

Later the day, they visited the Maravijaya Buddha Image, the world's highest sitting marble Buddha image in the Buddha Park of Dekkhinathiri Township. It’s built with the aims; to show the flourishing of Theravada Buddhism in Myanmar, to have Myanmar as a focal point of Theravada Buddhism, to ensure prosperity of the State and to contribute to peace and stability of the world.
