Paritta Recitation: Ceremony held in Nay Pyi Taw

To secure the peace and safety of the people, members of Sangha recited Paritta by taking Tatmadaw helicopter over Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Wednesday morning, the 1st day of 1386 Myanmar New Year.
Led by Aung Si Thar Monastery presiding sayadaw, 6 members of Sangha took Tatmadaw Helicopter over Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and recited paritta.
During the event, the concerned officials from the Department of Religious Affairs, military and the Ministry of Health accompanied the members of Sangha and sprinkled paritta water and sand, praying for the well-being of citizens.
Then, the State Administration Council held a ceremony to listen to the Paritta Recitation at the Ngu Shwe Wah Hall of the State Adminstration Council Chairman’s Office.
The ceremony was attended by members of Sangha led by Maha Thiha Nada Monastery presiding Sayadaw of Tatkone Towship and InTha Ashayt monastery presiding sayadaw of Lewe Township, Secretary of the State Administration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, Union Minister for SAC Chairman’s Office (3) U Aung Kyaw Ho, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, directors-general and many other concerned officials.
Before the ceremony, the Secretary of the State Administration Council offered Emerald Bowl, water and fruits to the Buddha Image residing at Ngu Shwe Wah Hall.
Then, the congregation received 9 precepts from monastery presiding Sayadaw and listened to the sermons recited by members of Sangha. Then, the secretary of the State Administration Council and party donated offertoris to the members of Sangha.
After listening to the sermons delivered by the Presiding Sayadaw of Pali University, Mingalar Zayyone Monastery, the congregation share the merits gained. After the ceremony, the secretary of the State Adminstration Council and officials offered day meal to the members of Sangha.
