Reconstruction Market" was opened in Noto peninsula

On Sunday, a “reconstruction market” was held in Nanao city’s shopping street in Ishikawa. It used to be a popular tourist site, with many old buildings.  But many businesses there still have no prospects for when they can reopen.

Shop owners gathered to sell sushi, tableware and other items at the event, hoping to take a step toward reconstruction. One of the shop owner said she will rebuild the shop and start over. The event reunited people who hadn’t met each other after the earthquake.
