Response to Fake News: Some media releasing fake news to incite stability

It’s found that some media released the false information on social media saying that 3 people were shot dead and more than 30 houses were burned down by security forces in their raid on Pagyi Village in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region.

Regarding the news, the security forces did not make a raid on the village or set fire to houses during their clash with the PDF terrorists near the village on December 12.

Tatmadaw is working to ensure the peace and stability of the region and is always protecting the lives of the people. It’s reported that some media are releasing fake news with the intention of inciting the country’s stability.
