Rice Donation: Rice bags for storm affected people in Rakhine donated

The ceremony of donating rice bags and handing over by the donors of Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation, Full Moon Family Foundation and partner organization Sower Action (Hongkong) for the Mocha Cyclonic Storm affected people in Rakhine State was held at the meeting hall of Yangon Region Government on 19th December.

At the ceremony, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein expressed words of thanks for the donation and said to hand over the donation rice bags to the hands of Cyclone affected people in Rakhine State as quickly as possible by the earlies vessel which arrived at Bo Aung Kyaw Jetty.

Next, a responsible person of Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation clarified the purpose of the donation. Then, 4800 (10 Kg) bags of rice for 1600 households with 30 Kg per household were donated to the National Disaster Management Committee and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein (on behalf of the committee) accepted the donation and returned the certificate of honor.
