The Taikkyi Township Department of Rural Road Development is currently undertaking tar paving works along the entrance road to Gaut Village, a project expected to benefit over 2,000 residents across five villages in the area.
On Sunday, Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe visited the project site to assess progress and emphasized the importance of long-term maintenance of these development facilities by the local populace.
In Kyaiksakaing Village, the Union Minister held a meeting with members of ten Cooperative Associations, urging them to pursue triple-crop cultivation to boost incomes and elevate their social status.
During this meeting, refunds from the sale of monsoon paddy and direct seeders were distributed to farmers.
To further drive socio-economic development, initiatives such as providing crop seeds, fertilizers, and inputs worth 200,000 kyats per acre from the State Economic Development Fund have been implemented.
Additionally, collaborations with the private sector have facilitated the distribution of farm implements at reasonable prices. For individuals facing financial constraints, plans are in place to facilitate purchases through the JICA Two-Step Loan program, overseen by the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank under the Ministry of Planning and Finance.
