SAC Order: Martial Law Order issued in Moe Mate and Mabein

State Administration Council issued Martial Law Order Nos. 1 and 2/2024 on Wednesday, signed by the Secretary of the State Administration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe.

The order described that the State Administration Council has entrusted Martial Law power related to administration and judicial measures to the Commander of Northern Command under Section 419 of the Constitution to exercise more effective undertakings for ensuring security, the rule of law and local peace and tranquility in Moe Mate and Mabein Townships in Shan State.

The military command commander himself can exercise Martial Law power as well as transfer the power to military region commanders depending on the timely changing of situations.
