A shepherd boy who saved himself in a snowstorm

A 14-year-old boy who got lost during a storm on Lunar New Year's Day, was found alive after 26 hours. On the night the boy went missing, it reached -40 degrees in Mongolia. The shepherd boy managed to survive by gathering his sheep and sitting among them to stay warm.

An emergency official said “The boy saved his life during that cold frost by sheltering among his sheep. Rescuers were trying to search for the boy.  However the voices of the rescuers were heard to him, the boy had no ability to make a sound to tell the rescuers. He managed to survive and returned home safely to his parents. The Red Cross has awarded him the “Humanitarian child” award.”
