Summer sports trainings: MoSYA UM encouraged summer sports trainings

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan together with Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein visited Padetha sports ground in South-Okkalapa Township in the morning on 9th of May and gave words of encouragement to the trainees who are practicing the relevant summer sports including Aikido, taekwondo, gymnastics, football, weight lifting, boxing, table tennis, Karate, Judo, Aerobics during the summer holidays by spending the time productively, fulfilled the requirements reported by the instructors and instructed regarding with the cleaning and tidiness of stadiums and sports grounds.

Next, the Union Minister and Yangon Region Chief Minister provided 2.04 million Kyats for the trainees who are attending the summer advance sports trainings. Consequently, the Union Minister met with the personnel of Department of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon) at the Union Hall in the Kyaikkasan compound of the Institute of Sports and Physical Educationand gave necessary instructions. After that, the Union Minister together with Yangon Region Chief Minister attended the Youth affairs educational talk and Quiz game competition at the Yangon University of Education organized by the Yangon Region Youth Affairs Committee and gave words of honor.

Then, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein gave a remark. Next, the writer U Kyaw Kyaw Hlaing gave a talk under the topic of Development of Youth Life and the Union Minister and Chief Minister provided sports materials worth 15.06 million Kyats of cash assistance for the 6 universities including Yangon University of Education, Yangon University, University of Edonomics, East Yangon University, West Yangon University and Dagon University with 2.51 million Kyats for each University and the Rectors of relevant University accepted.

After the Vice Chairman of Yangon Region Youth Affairs Committee Region Minister for Social Affairs U Htay Aung presented gift of honor to the Writer U Kyaw Kyaw Hlaing, the Union Minister and Chief Minister looked round the exhibition booths displayed. Later, the Union Minister, Chief Minister, Region Ministers, Rector of Yangon University of Edcation and Director General of the Department of Sports and Phisical Education awarded the prizes to the winners in the quiz game competition, it’s lerant.
