Thai princess stages musical performance about Viet Nam

Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn performed a 50-minute musical, “Viet Nam at Peace,” at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkokon the occasion of the 107th founding anniversary of the university.

The event attracted more than 1,500 attendees, including Thai scholars, intellectuals, officials, and foreign diplomats. The musical was based on a 68-line poem created by the princess. It highlighted her impressions of Viet Nam’s stunning landscapes and people, and it was adapted into nine songs featuring both Vietnamese and Thai music. The performance was a fusion of ensemble, choir, and dance and involved nearly 150 artists.
