Shows began on Sunday, using the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No.1 as the canvas.

Tokyo Governor Koike Yuriko said at the opening event that she hopes the exhibit will become a new tourist attraction. The images depict Japanese culture, nature and sightseeing destinations in Tokyo on a wall spanning around 14,000 square meters.

Each sequence lasts about 10 to 15 minutes, with different content shown on weekdays compared with weekends and holidays. The project has been certified by Guinness World Records as the world’s “Largest Permanent Architectural Projection Mapping Exhibition.” Projections will start every night at 7 p.m. for the time being. They will be shown five times per night.
