Union Day in Kachin State: Kachin State CM read out the Union Day Message

The State flag hoisting and message reading ceremonies marking the 2024 77th Anniversary Union Day were resoundingly held along with Kachin traditional Manaw dance performances at State Government Office Compound on 12th February.

Firstly at 5AM, led by State Government Security and Border Affairs Minister Colonel Kyaw Thuya, the Company of Guard of Honor, State Ministers, State Level Departmental Officials hoisted and saluted the State Flag.

Next at 7AM, message reading section was continued. The State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and wife, Chief Justice of State High Court and wife, Deputy Commander of Northern Military Command and wife, Senior Tatmadaw officials from Northern Command, State Government Ministers and their wives, State Advocate General, Township/District Departmental Officials, Ethnic Literature and Culture Groups, Peace Negotiators and special invited guests salute the State Flag.

Then, the Chief Minister read out the message sent by the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing to the 77th Anniversary Union Day Celebration.

Next, the State Chief Minister, Cheif Justice of State High Court, Deputy Commander and officials awarded the honorary certificates and cash to the outstanding students who secured prizes at Higher and Basci Education Level Contests of Essay, Poem, English and Maths marking the 77th Anniversary Union Day so also honorary certificates went to the well-wishers who contributes for the state development and took documentary group photo.

Afterwards, the opening ceremony of Manaw Dance comprised of all local ethnic people which reflects unity of the Union marked the 77th Union Day was continued at Miniature Manaw Ground where Fater Gawluyonwas from Catholic Church and Pastor U Madainzonekyan  from Baptist Church made wishes to be able to continuously hold the commemorative celebration with the dance performances.

Later, the State Chief Minster, Cheif Justice of State High Court, Deputy Commander opened the Miniature Manaw Ground by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and then led by the dance leaders, State government members, senior Tatmadaw officials, State/District/Township level departmental officials, Ethnic Literature and Cultuure Committee members, trainees from Education Degree College and Midwifery Schools, students and attendees happily joined the opening and closing Manaw dance performances together.
