Variety shows marked National Day: MOI Union Minister presented cash of honor

A variety show marking the 103rd Anniversary National Victory Day was held at Thiri ground in Hpa-An township in the evening on Thursday with the presence of Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo and wife, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, State Government Ministers and their wives, departmental officials and local ethnic people.

The event also included the stage performances of students from basic education schools in Hpa-an with various modern songs and the presentation of respective traditional cultural dances by the ethnic traditional cultural dance troupes of Kayin, Mon, Bamar, Pa-O, and Shan.

This is followed by modern music performance of singers with the accompaniment of unplugged music band. After enjoying the various performances, the Union Minister presented the entertainment troupes with cash of honor 2 million kyats.

On Friday morning, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, together with Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo, State Government Ministers and departmental officials comforted the Members of Sangha and nuns receiving medical check-up at Hpa-An People’s Hospital.

First, the Union Minister, Chief Minister and party paid homage to the members of Sangha led by the State Ovadacariya NaungLone Htanpatai Monastery Sayadaw and the Residing Sayadaw of Amita Yar Ma Ye Kyaung Monastery and offered cash donations.

Then, the Union Minister, Chief Minister and party comforted Members of Sangha and nuns receiving necessary medical checkup and gave instructions to relevant officials to send the results of the patients to the relevant specialists if needed.
