New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and his spouse hosted a welcome ceremony with a traditional Maori ritual for Vietnamese PM Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse on their official visit to New Zealand on March 11.

Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the stable and increasingly effective development of their countries’ strategic partnership in various aspects, including politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, security, defence, education, training, agriculture, and labour. They especially noted the frequent exchanges of high-ranking delegations and a 60% increase in bilateral trade from 2017 to 2022.
