Vocational Training : 1-month courses of electrical and sewing subjects completed

The closing ceremony of electrical and sewing training course was conducted at the Community Center of Taunggyi on Wednesday with the attendance by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye.

This training course was collaboratively conducted by Shan State Work Committee on Child Labor Eradication and Creating Employment Opportunities and Nyaung Shwe Vocational Training School. At the closing ceremony, the Chief Minister stressed that the Committee is tackling the issues related to the child labor eradication with 19 members and 8 work committees.

The electrical and sewing training courses are being conducted by 2 trainers for 25 trainees each. At Nyaung Shwe Township Vocational Training School, 1-month training was conducted from 18th December 2023 to 17th January 2024, he added.

The vocation training courses are consecutively opened, intending to support out-of-school children, enhance family income and eradicate child labor engaging in hazardous occupations, the Chief Minister said. Then, the Chief Minister provided business equipment to the trainees of sewing training course and the relevant officials presented the completion certificates to the trainees of the electrical and sewing training courses respectively.
