Xi talks with visiting Micronesian President

Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with visiting President of the Federated States of Micronesia Wesley W. Simina in Beijing on Tuesday pointing out that this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Micronesia.

Xi said the two countries should adhere to political definition of their comprehensive strategic partnership, adhere to win-win cooperation and common development, accelerate Belt and Road cooperation, strengthen cooperation on infrastructure projects, and promote people-to-people exchanges in fields such as culture, health, education and sub-national affairs.

After talks, the two leaders witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral cooperation documents in fields such as Belt and Road cooperation, green development, agriculture, health care, infrastructure and development cooperation.
