Activities in Myitkyina :CM attends festival, plantation and competition

Under the supervison of the Kachin State Government, a festival for physical and mental strength of the youth was held in Myitkyina. Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nam ceremonially opened the festival together with other concerned officials, and said that Today's youth are the main human resources that the country relies on for its bright future.

This festival is to promote the education, health and social sectors of young people, to conserve religion, race, culture and literature and to develop five strengths of the youth. He also urged the youth to make efforts for the emergence of a modern, developed nation. And, the Chief Minister viewed round the booths of the festival and the display of books.

Then, awards were presented to winners for quiz competition. Also, the Chief Minister attended the winter paddy planting event in Madain Village, Waimaw Township. There, he openly discussed with the farmers about solar irrigation system and the quick completion of the rain paddy harvest.

He also attended the awarding ceremony of the 28th Buddhist Sermon Recitation Competition participated by 63 teams at the Sasana Beikmantaw of Myitkyina Township.
