Benefits Of Insurance: 500,000 Baht Each To Family Members

Family members of 5 victims who lost their lives in a car accident in Kanchanaburi Province of Thailand received 500,000 Baht each in insurance.

Union Minister for Labour Dr. Pwint San and many other officials as well as the family members of the victims attended this insurance providing ceremony on Wednesday at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw. In his speech, the Union Minister explained arrangements for insurance process in Thailand and Myanmar for the victims.

He also made remarks, stressing dangers which illegal migrant workers face and benefits of working abroad via legal channel including rights and protection. The car accident in Kanchanaburi Province occurred when the driver put the car into reverse due to a checkpoint on the 20th of January 2022. The accident left 5 Myanmar people (3 men and 2 women) dead.
