Boosting Tourism Industry: More visitors travel within gazetted holidays

During the gazetted holidays of 2022, the remarkable places in Myanmar are teemed again with domestic travelers because local and some foreign tourism industries have been resumed. At the beginning of the open season in November, the arrival of some foreign visitors have been increased and tourists are teeming at Myanmar’s remarkable places such as Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, Taunggyi, Inlay, Pintaya, Pyin Oo Lwin, Myeik archipelago and resorts. The visitors prefer short-day trips than long-day ones.

The visitors make trips to explore the country’s culture and territory, study the natural scenic beauty, and enjoy the landscape and nature of life. Tourism is well-known as the smokeless industry and it can create job opportunities for locals in hotel services, car rentals, restaurants, local gift shops, etc. In addition, both urban and rural areas have gained a well economic base.

In post COVID-19 pandemic, Myanmar expects to arrive more local and foreign tourists. In addition, efforts are being made to implement the community-based tourism so that travelers can know more about nature, scenic sites, traditional culture and customs of the local people.
