Chinese mainland reports 4 new COVID-19 cases, including one local case Sunday

Chinese health authority said on Monday that it received reports of four new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on Sunday, of which one was domestically transmitted. The domestically transmitted case was reported in Beijing, the National Health Commission said in its daily report. The three cases from abroad were respectively reported in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Provinces of Liaoning and Shaanxi.

No suspected cases or deaths related to the disease were reported, according to the commission. A total of 83,557 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported on the mainland. Meanwhile, there were still seven suspected cases and the number of close contacts totaled 763,801, with 3,988 remaining under medical observation.
