COVID-19 Update: 1,744 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on September 23

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 1,744 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 19,775 patients within 24 hours. 77 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,696 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 453,407 with 17,343 deaths and 406,175 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Colombia, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 5:10pm CEST, 23 September 2021, there have been over 229 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.71 million deaths.
