Dental Medicine Conference: 650 experts making discussions in 2-day conference

The Myanmar Dental Medicine Conference (2023) opening ceremony took place on Friday at the MICC II in Nay Pyi Taw with the attendance of Member of the State Administration Council Dr. Ba Shwe, Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council and many other officials.
In his speech, the SAC Member said that dental disease is a disease that affects about 3.5 billion people in the world, and it is the most common disease in the world.
The SAC Member also said he is proud to know that congenital cleft lip and cleft palate patients are treated for free, and oral cancer is treated with special expertise. He also urged attendees to increase dental health care activities in ethnic areas.
Also, Union Minister Dr. Thet Khaing Win explained matters including increased assignment of dental human resources, dental health care services, public awareness programmes and necessary drugs, medicines and modern equipment supplies.
The theme of Myanmar Dental Medicine Conference (2023) is ‘Bring quality dental health to the people’. Experts from Thailand, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Malaysia are participating in this 2-day conference.
