Ethnic Affairs: SAC Chairman receives Kayin ethnic leader

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander in Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Monday received a delegation led by the Kayin ethnic leader Saw Mutu Say Poe who attended the 8th Anniversary Celebration of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA).

The meeting at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw was also attended by the SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and SAC member Union Minister for Home Affairs, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and senior military officers as well as Chairman of the Kawkareik District Pado Shwe Moung.

In that meeting, they cordially and frankly discussed the successful holding of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement(NCA) 8th Anniversary. The Senior General expressed his wish for Kayin Ethnic leader to lead the state for the peace and stability of the Kayin ethnic people. He highlighted the essential actions that need to be undertaken for the social, economic, health and regional development, better education, peace and stability in the Kayin State.
