Ex Venezuelan oil minister accused of diverting 4.85 billion

Venezuelan oil minister Tareck El Aissami accused former oil minister and president of the state oiling company PDVSA, Rafael Ramírez, of corruption and embezzlement.

The minister said he handed evidence to the General Attorney's Office proving the alleged crimes. He also presented documents saying that 28 receipts that add up to 4.85 billion dollars were wrongfully diverted from the PDVSAfrom March 2012 to March 2013.Venezuela's chief prosecutor ordered his arrest on charges of bankrupting PDVSA, the country's primary source of income.
