First Aid (basic) training: Shan State CM addressed the opening ceremony of training

The opening ceremony of first aid (basic) training was held at the multipurpose hall of Taunggyi University at 9 a.m. on July 4.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Shan State Chief Minister Dr. Kyaw Tun said that the Red Cross Society in Taunggyi University was reinstated in 2005 and has been giving the social philanthropic services such as healthcare, blood donation etc. based on three processes of uplifting health standard, prevention of diseases and extending helping hands to the victims.

The trainees are urged to attend the training course until to the completion of the training and learn the theoretical and practical lessons. Those who have learned the first aid skills can help the own family, school and the public at large.

Next, the Chief Minister provided one million Kyats of cash donation for the Red Cross Society of Taunggyi University and the Rector of the University Dr. Kay Thi Tin accepted the donation and the chairman of Red Cross Society Supervised Committee U Nyi Nyi clarified the purpose of opening the training course.

Then, the Chief Minister, ministers and officials cordially greeted the teachers and students who will attend the first aid (basic) training course.

The training course will be attended by a total of 366 trainees including 22 teachers and 344 students from the Taunggyi University and the training will be given for 5 days from the 4th to 8th of July, it’s reported.
