"Future Yangon": To Be A Clean, Green And Developed City

16 Japanese students from Yangon Japanese School visited one of the public schools in Yangon, Tuesday.

The Japanese Students visited around the Yangon city to find out the facts on the electricity, traffic jam and throwing rubbish in the city. They also made discussions based on these facts to become Yangon city into a clean, green and developed city under the title of "Future Yangon" in the coming years.

Headmistress, B.E.H.S No. 6 (Botahtaung), Swe Swe Hlaing said “We chose 10 students each from Grade-5, 6 and 7 to make discussions with the Japanese students. Since it is the first time for the Japanese Students to pay a visit to the public school in Yangon, they are happy and pleased to come here. Students from the school are also interested in the facts and take part in the discussions. It has many benefits for the students.”

The Principal from Yangon Japanese School said visit to the local public school creates making friendliness between the students to take part in the activities to become Yangon into a clean, green and developed city.

Principal, Yangon Japanese School, Osakabe Yukiyasu said “I think …this is the first step for being friends between students from Yangon Japanese School and Local school of Yangon. The students made presentation on "Future Yangon" today. I’d like to urge the students from Yangon Japanese School to participate in the various activities to become Yangon into a clean, green and developed city together with local students.”    

Students from Yangon Japanese School and local government school also expressed their views on the presentation at the event.

Student, Yangon Japanese School, Eri said “I’d like to say the students here to throw the rubbish systematically. The unsystematic throwing trash is not good and it can damage to the good image of the city. I also want to participate in the volunteering activities here.”

Student, B.E.H.S No. 6 (Botahtaung), Mon Thawdar Chan Min said “We discussed the issues on traffic congestion, electricity, natural disasters and also how to throw garbage systematically. Our teachers also gave us trainings how to make a discussion. It has many benefits for us.”  

The Yangon Japanese School is a Japanese international school which is affiliated with the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar. The opening of Yangon Japanese School has also entered the 55th year in 2019, it's learnt.
