Greening Activity: SAC Chairman graced monsoon season tree planting ceremony

Chairman of State Administration Council, Commander In Chief of Defense Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing planed starflower tree at the 2021 environmental greening activities monsoon season tree planting ceremony held at the plot no (17) of Phoe Zaung Taung forest reserve at the roadside of Nay Pyi Taw-Tatkone no (1) road, Uttarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on Friday.

Also present at the occasion were the members and joint-secretary of the council, chief justice of the Supreme Court of the union, union ministers, chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, deputy ministers and officials. At the ceremony, the Chairman of State Administration Council, Commander In Chief of Defense Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing planed a starflower tree.

Next, the members and Joint-Secretary of the Council, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Union, Union Ministers, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Deputy Ministers and officials planted seedlings at the designated places.

Then, the Chairman of State Administration Council inspected the planted seedlings at plot no (17) in the Phoe Zaung Taung forest reserve.

At this ceremony, totalling 16 species of trees including starflower tree, teakwood, Pyinkadoe, padauk, Tamalan etc. and the Phoe Zaung Taung forest reserve is 8517.09 acres wide, there are 51 plots where over 20 species of trees are thriving, it’s learnt.
