Honouring Ceremony: Independence Day celebrations participants honoured

Ministry of Information honoured its staff at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw who participated in the 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) Independence Day celebrations.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, the permanent secretary, directors-general and staff attended this honouring ceremony.

In his address, the Union Minister said that it was necessary to record and honour the staff who provided comprehensive support from all sides for the success of the Independence Day celebrations. And, the Deputy Minister gave certificates of honour to 165 staff who participated in the military demonstration and two staff each from the Minister’s office, MRTV, IPRD, Printing and Publishing Department, News and Periodicals Enterprise.

Also, the Union Minister gave 30,000 Kyats each to 272 staff who participated in various sectors. The first, second, third and special prize winners in the singing contest at this Ceremony were also presented with prizes by the Union minister and officials. This Honouring Ceremony also included a lucky draw program.
