Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods and teak confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 26th and 28th of November, illegal goods including 50,000 envelopes, palmoil, informal diesel, illegal teak, foodstuff and plastic baskets worth over 300 million Kyats were confiscated at the Nyaungkhashayx-ray station, in Monywa township,in Sagaing township, in Ottarathiri township, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, at the Kawkareik(Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint and at the Ywathagyi Dry Port.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
