Illegal Trade: Illegal Timber And Goods Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.
On the 14th, 15th and 16th of August, illegal sawn ironwood, teak door parts, Tin/Tungsten lead, flowering trees, unregistered motorbike, timber, construction materials, 20 baby bicycles and timer were seized in Pathein Township, Mohnyin Township and Belin Township as well as on the Mandalay-Pyin Oo Lwin Road and in Kanbalu Township, Pyinmana Township, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint and in Bago, Toungoo and Pyay districts.
In total, illegal timber and goods worth over 26 million Kyats were seized. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
