Infantino targets soccer growth in Comoros and Seychelles

FIFA president Gianni Infantino visited Comoros and the Seychelles to discuss ways of growing the global game of soccer within the Indian Ocean nations. Accompanied by the president of the Comoros Football Federation (FFC), Infantino visited the national technical centre in Comoros.

Infantino met the members of the FFC Executive Committee and was given a tour of the national technical centre at Mitsamiouli - which is being renovated with support from the FIFA Forward project - where he took part in an inauguration ceremony for a new soccer pitch.

In the Seychelles, Infantino was welcomed by Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) president and members of the SFF executive committee, where a new soccer pitch built with support from the FIFA Forward programme was opened.Meanwhile, a delegation from football's world governing body visited the facilities to be used for the FIFA Beach World Cup in 2025 which will take place in the Seychelles, and will mark the first-ever FIFA tournament to be staged in the country.
