Launching Ceremony: Effective Energy Utilization and Conservation Website

Ministry of Industry on Thursday with the attendance of Union Minister of Industry Dr. Charlie Than, Deputy Minister, Directors General, Managing Directors, and many other concerned officials.

Likewise, officials from the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Myanmar Industrial Worker’s Federation, Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies and other concerned officials joined the ceremony with virtual system.

The Launching ceremony was held with the aims for sharing knowledge on effective use of energy and understanding the preservation processes of the Ministry by the public, distribution of technology for effective energy usage and issuing the energy efficiency standard marks by using online registration system for 4 products such as air-conditioner, refrigerator, electric bulb and motor.

During the ceremony, implementation on utilization of energy effectively in Myanmar and implementation of the energy efficiency standard system and registration of products via online system were discussed.

The Union Minister concluded the ceremony saying that the Ministry of Industry is making efforts for effective energy utilization by adopting missions for less impacts on environment, saving production cost, reducing the use foreign currencies and preserving natural resources of the country. He urged all the attendees to cooperate in implementing the process for effective utilization of energy.
