A French start-up unveiled iYU, a robotic arm able to reproduce massage therapist movements at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Jonathan Grassi, massage therapist said " Let’s be clear, it doesn’t replace a massage therapist, but it can provide amazing specialized care. Right now it specializes on just the back, the upper back till the lower back. The pressure, the movement, the relaxation, most people fall asleep to this technology, so it’s very impressive what they have been able to do."

The company founder said, “70% of people suffer back pain. 60% of people experience stress. It’s massive. It’s impossible to address such a massive issue just with our hands. But robots and artificial intelligence can help us to address this massive issue among the population."
