Myanmar fruits export: 150 trucks of watermelon, muskmelon to China

Myanmar is exporting watermelon and muskmelon to China via the Muse105-mile Gate, and prices riseand have reached between, 4,500 and 5,000 Yuan per ton during this pre-Chinese New Year period. About 1,500 truckloads of watermelon and muskmelon are exported the Muse 105-mile Gate to China yearly.

Sai Khin Maung, Vice-Chairman, Muse Fruit Centre, said " The prices of Myanmar watermelon and muskmelon are rising in China market after the Chinese side has eased some of the COVID-19restrictions. In this pre-Chinese New Year celebration, the prices of watermelon and muskmelon have reached between 4,500 and 5,000 Yuan per ton depending on the quality. Around 150 trucks of watermelon and muskmelon are exported to the China market per day."

Currently, Myanmar daily exports rice, broken rice, rubber, various beans and pulses, marine products and others to China through the Kyinsan Kyawt Border Gate by 100 trucks, and building materials, electrical appliances, household goods and industrial raw materials are imported by 40 trucks per day.
