New Education System :Higher Education in Agriculture Implements

As Myanmar is based on Agriculture, and in case of land and livestock breeding sectors development ahead, human resources skilled in technology are much needed. 

Therefore, in the high school education system of Myanmar, University of Agriculture and University of Breeding and Veterinary Science are opened along with the opening of 15 Agricultural Science High Schools by regions and states.

In coming 2023-24 academic year, as a joint curriculum, those who passed outstandingly at Basic Education High School for Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock Breeding sector are available to sit the entrance exam for University of Agriculture and University of Breeding and Veterinary Science.

Director General, Department of Agriculture, Dr. Ye Tint Htun, said " While we conducting agriculture sector development, to push the growth of country’s economy, implementations are needed to do based on agriculture and breeding. To cultivate crops and produce well, for farmers and producers, it is needed to be proficient in technology and close with agricultural techniques a lot. Therefore, we open the high schools specializing Agriculture and nurture agricultural and breeding experts. By opening so, outstanding students from those schools will have a chance to enter the higher university of agriculture and to continuously to Science education. If they can’t reach to them, they will also have a chance to enter work place directly."

Students are going to be obtained developments for their livelihood along with learning higher education of it. Also, developing human resources for the country and for individual, agricultural land sector can be improved more for the country.
