Population matters: MoIP UM received UNFPA regional Director

The Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing received Mr. Francis Pio Smith, Regional Director, UNFPA Asia and Pacific Regional Office, Bangkok and team at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 19th December.

At the call, both sides cordially exchanged views on the cooperation with the Ministry in the population related works which need the accuracy of population related figures in providing assistance regarding with reproductive health, youth sector, HIV and AIDS, gender equality and anti-gender-based violence, building knowledge and capacity for the responding the requirements for the implementations of population and family plan

helping improve the work plans regarding with the population and the ways and means to be implemented for the continuation of collaboration between the Ministry and UNFPA.
