Preparation Measures: Yangon Region CM inspects preparations for Thingyan Festival

The preparation measures are in full swing for celebrating the Yangon Region Thingyan water festival in line with the traditional customs and culture. On April 8th, Chief Minister U Soe Thein and regional ministers inspected the progress of preparation measures at Yangon Mayor Maha Thingyan Pandal and Walking Thingyan Pandal.

The Walking Thingyan will be held along the Maha Bandhula Park Street between Maha Bandhula and Merchant Roads. He instructed officials to provide arrangements for the public to enjoy the Thingyan Water Festival peacefully. He also instructed for durability of the pandals, security measures and worksite safety.
