President Xi Jinping meets IOC president Thomas Bach

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday met with the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach ahead of the Winter Olympics.

Bach is in Beijing for the opening of the 24th Winter Olympic Games which starts on February 4. Xi told Bach that China would do its best to guarantee the health and safety of all participants of the Games despite the COVID-19 pandemic and Bach also told that he was deeply impressed with the efficiency, determination and vitality that China has shown in the preparation of the games.
