Reaction to Fake News: No bomb attack in Insein Township

One of the illegal destructive medias DVB is spreading fake news on social media that terrorists launched an bomb attack on the car parking area of the Myanmar Economic Holdings Ltd. on the Thiri Mingalar Road of Insein Township in Yangon Region at 7:40 PM on November 29. 

Relating on this fake news, an official from the Yangon Region Government said that there was no bomb attack on the car parking area. Also, a destructive media Myay Latt A Than  is spreading disinformation through social media that members of the security force forced an 18-year-old local resident to enter the Tatmadaw at No. 6 ward, in Taung Thar Township of Mandalay Region on November 28. 

Regarding this fake news, one of the administration officials said that around 12:00 PM on November 28, that man was suspected as he walked multiple times infront of the Taung Thar General Administration Office. And, members the security force had to make inspection on him.

It’s found out that the suspect was drunk and does not have NRC with him. The official added that he was taken out by his mother – not by money.  When terrorists are committing acts of violence in towns and villages of some border areas, illegal destructive medias are intentionally distributing fake and false news without following the media ethics.
