Regional Development: Bridge construction and meeting with cultural association

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, accompanied by the members of regional government, departmental officials, Chairmen and members of District/Township Administration Councils and concerned officials, visited the construction site of Chindwin Bridge (Htamanthi) in Homalin Township, in the morning on October 21st.
First, the officials of the Ministry of Construction reported on further ongoing construction tasks of Chindwin Bridge (Htamanthi) to be implemented as per the fiscal year, completion status, the works undertaken and further assistance for timely completion of the bridge.
Then, the Chief Minister said that once completed, Chindwin Bridge (Htamanthi) will greatly assist the locals of Leshi and Homalin Townships and benefit the socio-economic life and development of locals of its surrounding villages.
He highlighted the importance of timely completion of bridge, worksite safety and meeting the set standards. Then, he coordinated and fulfilled the essential requirements. Then, the Chief Minister oversaw the construction works of bridge and approach road which are in progress and coordinated the needs.
The Chindwin Bridge (Htamanthi) is a reinforced concrete bridge, situated on the Homalin -Leshe -Pansat -Swamara road, spanning the Chindwin River.
On the same day, the Chief Minister and officials concerned attended a meeting with town elders, district and township level departmental officials, Naga literature and culture associations and departmental staff at the district administration council office of Leshi Township.
The Chief Minister clarified the work undertakings related to the security, law and order and stability, development, agriculture and livestock breeding tasks, upland farming, development of MSMEs, education and health in the Naga Self –Administered zone.
Then, the official of Leshi Township Administration Council presented a supplementary discussion about regional development activities.
Then, the regional government ministers and the departmental officials gave explanations about Naga region development activities and further plans.
After that, the Chief Minister coordinated the needs upon the presentation, provided cash assistance to Naga literature and culture associations and departmental staff.
