Sports Exchange and Cash Donation: Sports exchange and cash donation provided

In commemoration of hailing the Hangzhou Asian Games, Myanmar-China Friendship Sports Exchange and handing over cash donation ceremony was held at the Myanmar Yachting Federation, Yangon in the morning on August 6.

The Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Ambassador Mr. Chen Hai  and embassy families of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, officials from the department of Sports and Physical Education, Myanmar Yachting Federation  and athletes and invited guests attended the ceremony.

In his remark, the Union Minister said Myanmar will participate in the 19th Asian Games which will be held from 23rd September to 8th October, 2023 in Hangzhou City of the People of Republic of China with 7 sports events including football, Wushu, yachting, Sepak Takraw, Taekwondo, arther, E-Sport.

Among them, it’s thankful to the embassy of China for its contribution of cash donation and sports exchange for 3 sports groups such as football, yachting and Wushu etc. Next, the Ambassador Mr Chen Hai gave a remark pledging to provide assistances for the development of Myanmar sports sector.

Then, the ambassador handed cash donation of 2805 USD each for Myanmar Wushu Federation, Myanmar Yachting Federation and Myanmar Football Federation and the responsible officials accepted.

Next, the Chairman of Myanmar Yachting Federation U Thaung Htiak Min, Wushu national selection Sandi Oo extended words of thanks and the ambassador presented memorable gifts to the Union Minister, Chief Minister and region ministers and posed for the documentary photo.

Afterward, embassy families and Myanmar Wushu athletes who did the joint training in China showed the joint demonstration.

In the second part of the ceremony, the yachting competition of embassy families, invited guests and athletes was held and the Yangon Region Chief minister presented prize of honor to the first prize winner team.

Afterward, the Union Minister cordially greeted the athletes who are doing practice at Myanmar Yachting Federation and gave necessary instructions and words of encouragement.
