Tourism Industry: Russian tourists share experiences in Yangon

The Myanmar-Russia Tourism Promotion Familiarization Trip (FAM Trip) program is being implemented by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism with the aim of increasing the number of Russian tourists visiting Myanmar's destinations and promoting Myanmar's tourist attractions in the Russian tourism market.

The Russian tourists who took the FAM Trip shared their experiences on Monday evening at Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon. Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khine, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and many other officials attended this experience sharing event.

Before the event, the Union Minister oversaw meeting and discussions between Myanmar-Russia hotel and travel operators. The experience sharing event began with screening the Myanmar tourism promotion video. And, the Union Minister said in order to attract more Russian tourists to visit Myanmar, the Welcome Russia Program in Myanmar is being implemented, and as an initial effort of that program, this familiarization trip (FAM Trip) was planned in cooperation with the Myanmar-Russia Friendship Association.

She also urged the Russian tourists to share the very beautiful scenery of Myanmar, ancient buildings, lifestyles and unique cultures of the locals in Russia through messages and on social media. Also, Yangon Region Chief Minister said that the regional Government will do its best to provide the necessary services to make Yangon an attractive city for Russian citizens.

And, the Russian tourists who took the FAM Trip, an initial effort of the Welcome Russia Program in Myanmar shared their experiences.
