Major General Zaw Min Tun, leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council, recently provided updates on the country's current situation.

Addressing concerns about banking operations, he stated that rumors have been spread that there are cash withdrawal difficulties, limited withdrawals, and cash shortages in banks.

He emphasized that similar attacks on the banking sector were successfully overcome in 2021 through collective efforts by the Central Bank of Myanmar and the public. Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun urged the public to disregard fake news propagated by destructive forces at home and abroad, as well as biased media outlets. He called for cooperation with relevant organizations and departments to achieve social stability.

The Major General also discussed the transportation situation on the Mandalay-Muse Union Highway, which had been blocked at 12 locations by TNLA and PDF terrorists. Repairs along the road have been completed, and efforts to ensure ongoing security are underway.

Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun provided details on current armed conflicts, reporting ongoing operations in Namtkham and Namt Phat Khar in the northeastern part of Shan State. In Kayah State, terrorist attacks in Loikaw have faced multiple failures by the insurgents.

In the northern command area, attacks have been launched in Tron Ai and Kahtila Outposts. In Kayin State, exchanges of fire continued at Chaung Hna Khwa Bridge, where the Tatmadaw and Police Force have been implementing security measures for three consecutive days. Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun expressed recognition for the strong resistance displayed by the security forces in Kayin State.
