Volleyball Tournament: Mdy Women Team & Shan State Men Team win trophies

The final match of 2023 States and Region (Men/Women) Volleyball Tournament was held at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium (C) in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday with the attendance of members of the State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, Mahn Nyein Maung, Dr. Hmu Thang, Khun San Lwin and U Shwe Kyein, Union Ministers, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council and many other departmental officials and guests.
In the final Women volleyball event, team Mandalay beat team Kachin with 3-0 while team Shan State beat team Nay Pyi Taw in men volleyball event with 3-1. The awarding ceremony then followed, with the presentation of honorary medals, trophies and cash awards to the best players in women and men events as well as first, second and third prize winning teams in the women and men events.
2023 Regions/States (Men/Women) Volleyball Tournament was jointly organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and Myanmar Volleyball Federation with the aims to improve country’s volleyball standard and to turn out new generation volleyball athletes.
The tournament took place from 25th October to 3rd November with the participation of 418 athletes from 15 men teams and 13 women teams of all regions and states.
