Weather Update: Depression in West-Central Bay of Bengal

According to observations by the Meteorology and Hydrology Department at 12:30 hrs M.S.T on Sunday, the depression over West-Central Bay of Bengal has moved northwestwards.
It is centered approximately 485 nautical miles west-southwest of Hainggyigun, 525 nautical miles west-southwest of Thandwe, 495 nautical miles southwest of Sittwe (Myanmar), 320 nautical miles south of Paradip, 405 nautical miles south of Digha (India), and 480 nautical miles south-southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh).
The weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal. It is not moving towards the Myanmar coasts, and the current stage of the Depression is coded as the yellow stage.
Under the influence of the Depression, people should be aware of strong winds, heavy rain, flash floods, and landslides in hilly areas and near small rivers, as well as disruptions to domestic flights, trawlers, vessels, and ships in the Deltaic region, off and along the Rakhine Coasts.
