World Internet Conference: 2nd Dialogue on China-ASEAN Information Harbor

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended the 2nd Dialogue on China-ASEAN Information Harbor which was held during the 2023 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit on 8th November. In his speech, the Union Minister said the dialogue could bring new ideas, new assessments, new cooperation and new approaches.

He added that the China-ASEAN Information Harbor plays crucial in building the China-ASEAN community, and Myanmar is actively cooperation in its process. This was followed by discussion on future development of digital technology by officials and experts from China and ASEAN member states. Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications U Lu Mon discussed on combating fake and false news and cyber security.

On Thursday evening, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn visited the Light of Internet Expo, and took a tour of exhibitions. The Expo displays the latest achievements in digitalization and internet governance alongside the launch of cutting-edge research and technologies.

The expo also serves as a platform for researchers and professionals to showcase their latest theoretical achievements, reach agreements with investors, and find employment.
