Agricultural Sector : 700 seedershanded over to the farmers in Yangon Region

Yangon Region Government held its 2nd handover ceremony of 700 seeders to the farmers at Hlegu Township General Administration Office on Tuesday with the witness of Chief Minister U Soe Thein.

At first, Regional Head of the Agricultural Mechanization Department made explanation on advantages by using seeders in farming processes and performed demonstration of the machine. ‌And, the Chief Minister said that the seeders are provided to the farmers for cultivation of summer paddy to accelerate multi cropping in full capacity.

Then, the Chief Minister and ministers provided 100 seeders to Hlegu District, 4 seeders to Mingaladon District, 168 to Taikkyi District, 100 to Hmawby District, 60 to Dagon Myothit District, 18 to Thanlyin District and 250 to Twante District and chairpersons of the related District Administration Council accepted the seeders.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister cordially greeted to the local growers and coordinated the requirement. And, he also inspected the cultivation of green manure in the compound of Hlegu Township General Administration Office.
