Bilateral Talks: MOE Union Minister receives Egyptian Ambassador

Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin received a delegation led by Ambassador of Egypt to Myanmar, Mrs. Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim, in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

The discussions centered on crucial matters such as the upgrading of oil refineries and fertilizer factories, as well as the construction of new facilities. The two parties explored potential cooperation in investments for the exploration of inland and offshore oil and natural gas, along with LNG import initiatives.

Additionally, there were talks about bilateral collaboration in the energy sector. They also exchanged views on the transformative use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles as a substitute for fossil fuel vehicles, aiming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption.
