Central Committee Meeting: Matters on smooth flow of trade and goods discussed

The meeting (1/2024) of the Central Committee on Ensuring Smooth Flow of Trade and Goods was held at the meeting hall of the Union Government Office in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 7th February and the Central Committee Chairman member of State Administration Council Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo delivered an opening speech.
First, the Chairman of the Central Committee on Ensuring Smooth Flow of Trade and Goods member of State Administration Council Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo said that the Central Committee is carrying out with the ministries as per the sector for Ensuring Smooth Flow of Trade and Goods at home and abroad in line with the 9 objectives set by the State Administration Council.
The fuel which is essential for the government and people’s trade, transportation, agriculture, livestock breeding, social, health, commercial and General enterprises of service, is implemented as the prioritized import item.
The fuel needed in private industrial sector, agriculture and livestock, Services, hospital, clinic, school, hotel and government’s tender projects has been arranged to import freely.
A Software Application is being developed to be able to buy necessary type of fuel easily at near fuel station for the travelling of the people, to find the stations within 30 miles from the place of arrival and the balance of the fuel as per the fuel type and price can be inspected by the departments carrying out monitoring. From this February, it’s being arranged to carry out trial as Pilot Project at the 107 fuel stations in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
The SAC member Union minister also clarified the matters on releasing basic edible oil reference price, issues on fuel, difficulties in importing raw materials, electricity supply for the industrial zones, relaxation for the import and export operations etc. and called for focusing on the interest of the people in the carrying out the trades at the home and abroad and the central committee members and officials to be collaborated in the efforts for the smooth and speedy trades and goods and prioritizing the promotion of export sector.
Then, the attendees to the meeting clarified regarding with Smooth Flow of Trade and Goods and the Central Committee General Mya Tun Oo supplemented requirements and gave a speech of conclusion.
